Mo Li, tenor
Won critical acclaim for his “splendid voice and expressive emotion,” tenor Mo Li possesses a rich, sweet voice with distinctive warmth timber that proves himself a multifaceted and established performer in both operatic and art song repertoire. Recently successfully made his European debut in performing the title role Fritz in Offenbach’s La Grande-Duchesse de Gérolstein, Mo’s opera credits also include leading roles as Tito in Mozart’s La Clemenza di Tito, Piquillo in Offenbach’s La Perichole, Mario in Christof Bergmans’ Piazza Navona, Alfred and Eisenstein in Strauss’ Die Fledermaus, Basilio in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, Leon in Thomas Pasatieri's Signor Deluso, and Zhimo Xu in Xueshi Zhou’s Farewell Cambridge. In addition to operatic performances, Mo also appeared in the world of oratorio as tenor soloist in Handel’s Messiah, Mendelssohn’s Lobgesang, Duruflé’ Requiem, J.S.Bach’s Magnificat, and Mendelssohn’s Elijiah.
