About ACIMA

Established and directed by Internationally renowned Chinese-American pianist Chu-Fang Huang, winner of the 2011 Avery Fisher Career Grants,  the Ameri-China International Music Association (ACIMA), has devoted its resources to promoting classical music through international cultural exchange events and providing opportunities for young pianists to study with the world’s leading masters in piano education and performance.

Since 2009, the ACIMA has hosted an annual international music festival in the US and has invited distinguished professors from The Juilliard School, Curtis Institute, and other prestigious music institutions across Europe and America to perform in the festival concerts, give lectures and masterclasses, and serve as jurors for the competition. Young pianists and students are able to advance their piano performance skills through hands-on experience and close observation of these great pianists of our time.

One major highlight of ACIMA’s activities is the Ameri-China International Elite Program, designed to guide piano prodigies to top educational resources and help them to enter major conservatories with scholarship offers. Each year, ten elite young pianists selected from a competitive pool of thousands of candidates are awarded the rare opportunity to participate in multiple major piano festivals in North America and Europe, to perform in masterclasses taught by legendary master teachers associated with ACIMA, and to receive these master teachers’ recommendations for conservatory or university admission, sometimes with waiver of audition.

Stay tuned for the details of the 2023 International Winter Piano Festival
