Study with the world's leading artists Experience various world-class concert venues Advance your performance to the next level Established in 2011, the Metropolitan International Music Festival (MIMF) aims to promote classical music by providing young musicians from various countries opportunities to study with internationally renowned artists, educators and performers in its short-term intensive programs, including individual coachings, lessons, seminars, and masterclasses that give participants hands-on experience with some of today's leading masters and advance one’s performance to the next level; and by hosting competitions and concerts to discover talents and offer young musicians showcasing opportunities at world-class performance venues, including Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, DiMenna Center, National Opera Center, and Steinway Hall, while enjoying New York City.
MIMF provides learning opportunities for young musicians. The academy offers short-term intensive programs in winter and summer. MIMF Academy also provides private lessons with MIMF faculties all year round.
MIMF Annual Competition intends to discover talents and provide upcoming musicians a showcasing opportunity. The competitors go through highly selective process. Competition winners and outstanding performers are invited to perform at MIMF concerts at various venues including Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, Steinway Hall, Benzaquen Hall, etc.
MIMF hosts concerts all year round to celebrate various musical events. Major annual festivals include Austrian Week in January celebrating with works by Mozart, Schubert, and other Austrian composers; Liszt Virtuosic Festival in October; Bimonthly Mocking French Salon; and various series of concerts. Performers of MIMF concerts have included world renowned professionals, MIMF Annual Competition winners, and merit young artists from the MIMF Academy.
MIMF invites world renowned musicians to give masterclasses all year round. The masterclasses are open to the public. Performers of the masterclass are selected by MIMF admission committees.
